To get you started, here's a list of five things you may not have known about Uzbekistan! There are two double land-locked countries in the world. One of them is Lichtenstein. Can you name the other??? In 2002, archaeologists discovered a series of ancient pyramids in remote part of Uzbekistan that are believed to be 2,700 years old. They were found in the Kashkadarya and Samarkand regions. The current population of Uzbekistan is 32,300,446. Of this total, approximately 14,000,000 people live in the beautuful and fertile Ferghana Valley. This "valley" occupies about 14% of the country's land mass, but close to 50% of the population lives there. While the cities of Khiva, Bukhara, and Samarkand get all of the attention, it's advised that you take time during your Uzbekistan tours to visit the Ferghana Valley. And not only Ferghana Valley, other parts of this beautiful country such as Termez, Muynaq, Sharhrisabz are becoming very popular among the travelers together with adventure experiences in small villages up in the mountains, expeditions to the Aral sea and survival games in the deserts and much more…. Yes, the country is called Uzbekistan, but did you know that it's the home for many other nationalities, too? Of course, most of the country's inhabitants are Uzbeks, but there are - in no particular order - Tajiks, Kyrgyz, Russians, Tatars, and Karakalpaks. During your Uzbekistan tours you will meet many people of these various ethnicities. Don’t miss your chance to visit this unique part of the World before it is getting to crowded!

Tours to Uzbekistan

We’re almost halfway finished with the highest season  and you’re telling me you still haven’t decided where you’re going to travel in 2020? Are you kidding me??? Let me set you mind at ease with a collection of sites to see while on your Uzbekistan tours. You may be a world traveler and “seen it all” but when you compare the gifts of the Great Silk Road to them, you will find yourself yearning to return to the greatest locations in the world for all kinds of travelers!

With each passing year, more and more people are choosing to go on an Uzbekistan tours – and 2020 is no different. The reasons they choose this are as varied as the nationalities that come here! Uzbekistan offers a full array of sites, activities, and events that will keep you busy, but worse, make it difficult to choose what you want to do! If your dream Uzbekistan tours is to visit the ancient Great Silk Road cities of Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva, then this is the perfect place to go. These cities bring to mind great mystery, intrigue, and adventure, and you will not be disappointed.

As far as archaeologists can tell us, Samarkand has been around since 700 B.C. This means that it has seen its share of ups and downs, which has only added a sense of mysticism when you roam its streets. Once it was centrally located on the Great Silk Road which made it the focal point for trade, philosophy, and religion. The Registan easily matches the hype that it receives; it is one of the most awesome, majestic, stunning, magnificent, historical…well, I think you understand what I’m trying to say. When you come to Uzbekistan, you must see the Registan.

Bukhara has been around since 600 B.C., and it once was the leading place to go for Islamic studies during the golden age of the Samanids. During the heyday of the Great Silk Road, it was a vital link for traders. Today, Bukhara is full of architectural wonders, mostly madrassas and mosques, which are within walking distance of each other. But for me, the most striking edifice is the Ark, a fortress that was constructed shortly after the city’s founding. What you see today is not the original fort, and most recently it suffered great damage by the Soviets in 1920. Nevertheless, it remains a testimony to the architectural style of that era for defensive purposes. Exploring the interior of the Ark will provide you with an idea of the amount of planning that were required to build this structure.
