All terminals in Uzbekistan will work in multicurrency mode from July 1.
In Uzbekistan, starting from July 1, a full-fledged multicurrency system will be launched when carrying out non-cash payments.
The Central Bank of Uzbekistan together with the Association of Banks and commercial banks should by this time complete the integration of domestic payment systems with major international counterparts. This will allow accepting plastic cards of foreign citizens in the entire network of payment terminals of the republic.
In practice, the new mechanism will allow foreigners to purchase in the shops, pay for meals and other things in Uzbekistan due to the fact that dollars on the card will be automatically converted into sums at the rate of the regulator.
