Rally Muynak: extreme competitions were held in Karakalpakstan, Uzbekistan.
From May 2 to May 5, for the first time, the Avinalli Muynak-2019 sports competitions were held in the Muynak district, organized by the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the General Prosecutor’s Office of Uzbekistan, Zhokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development.
This event was interesting not only for Uzbekistan citizens, but also for those who came for Uzbekistan tours.
42 motorists, 20 bikers and 2 buggy owners from the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan and various regions of Uzbekistan took part in the competition. The route, length of which amounted to 440 km, included the shores of Lake Sudochie, ascents to the elevation, off-road at the canyons, as well as the plains of the dried bottom of the Aral Sea.
The journey began on the morning of May 3 from the shores of the Aral Sea to the first finish - Aktumsyk village, where, due to the difficulties of overcoming the route, only half of the cars arrived.
On the second day of the competition, a start was given in the opposite direction to the city of Muynak, where, upon completion of a long race, athletes were met by a crowd of spectators.
The closing ceremony of the event was held on May 5 in Muynak, where the results of the competitions were announced and the winners awarded.
