Hi Intizora,
The holiday was amazing - we had such a fantastic time - everything was perfect! Kyrgyzstan is so beautiful. It will take a while to save money for Turkmenistan but hopefully September next year!
Best regards,
Chris
I recently went on a 10 Day Uzbekistan Tour organized by Anton Shulakov of Roxana Tour in Tashkent. Mr. Shulakov made hotel, guide and driver arrangements for me (I had an individual tour). He had someone meet me upon arrival at Tashkent airport. The hotels he had booked for me were all of excellent quality. They all provided breakfast with a large selection of foods. The guides were all fluent English speakers. They were knowledgeable of their city and its culture and history. Many shared interesting anecdotes about historical figures in their city. The driver that was provided me was excellent. He was a superb driver who was always waiting patiently for me at our set departure times. I would highly recommend Roxana Tour to anyone planning a trip to Uzbekistan.
Uzbekistan is a unique country with a long, interesting history and vibrant culture. Everyone I encountered was friendly and many were eager to practice their English skills with me. I had a memorable trip, thanks to Roxana Tour employees.
Dear Anton,
Thank you for the e-mail. We got back safely late on Saturday (April 22) and slept till Sunday noon. Now back at work!
The journey to the Caucasus was absolutely fabulous. Everything had been organized with the utmost attention to detail, and every planned activity went like clockwork. We had a truly great time. First of all, I would like to thank you for organizing this trip so wonderfully. In spite of having to arrange things in three different countries, everything went absolutely smoothly.
The guides and drivers in all three countries were wonderful. In Georgia, we were faced with massive snowfall in the mountains and the roads were closed. This entailed a delay of a few hours. In spite of this unexpected hitch, the guide Eka managed to take us to every planned site in the program. Eka was a truly wonderful guide, and she and the driver went out of the way to help us with everything. Please convey our sincere thanks to both of them for a job well done.
Armenia was very good, too. Anna (the guide) was very knowledgeable and explained the history and culture of Armenia in the most interesting manner. Both Anna and the driver (Arman) waited patiently while I took countless pictures, Please thank Anna and Arman for the great job they did in showing us around Armenia.
In Azerbaijan, Latif combined the roles of guide and driver -- and he did a splendid job of that! While being a careful and safe driver, he had answers to every question on Azerbaijan we could put to him. We thoroughly enjoyed his company and the stories he had to tell about Azerbaijan and its culture. Please thank Latif for the wonderful time he gave us for the best part of six days.
All in all, it was a very memorable 15 days we had in the Caucasus. And I have almost 2600 pictures to remember them by. Thank you once again for making it all happen. Maybe (if everything goes to plan) I'll come back to you for yet another memorable trip to Iran.
Best regards,
Bobby
Hello Ardjan,
We would like to thank you - with some delay :-) - for the good planning / organization of our trip to Uzbekistan last summer!
We thought it was a beautiful country, very friendly people, very good local guides and everything went smoothly in terms of organization!
As the only point of improvement we might not recommend the folklore show in Bukhara for 'young' people our age ...
For the rest a super trip! Good luck with all your future trips & thanks again!
Regards,
Helena, Saskia and Louise
Dear Ardjan,
Since Monday evening we are back from a beautiful and successful journey through Uzbekistan. Everything was well organized and we could count on the very good service from our driver Ismaël. He did his job very faithfully and with a lot of dedication. The guides on site were all on time.
What also struck us was the cleanliness in the hotels; we expected that much less. The location of the hotels in the cities was very good; always within walking distance of the places where it could be done.
With our e-visa we quickly entered the country and now that the "green channel" and "red channel" systems are used, passing through customs in Tashkent is no problem; no more "declarationforms" had to be filled in, as one reads here and there on sites of travel organizations. Only the “passport registration” in the hotels seems to hold on - the forms of this were checked briefly, albeit fleetingly, when they left the country. In short; customs at the airport in Brussels have made their punctuality actions much more difficult than their colleagues in Tashkent in recent weeks.
Only the temperature sometimes failed; it turned out to be exceptionally fresh for the time of the year and we could already take pictures in the snow. When we arrived in Termiz it was 21 ° C, the day after there was barely 8 ° C ...
In the mountains around Charvak it was also on the very fresh side earlier and there was plenty of snow - it had fallen from the sky with buckets the day it rained in Termiz at 8 ° C and pipe stalks.
Perhaps 1 consideration: the ride all the way to Fergana might not have been better; possibility to spend the night in Qocon, which is a bit less far away and where apparently there is something more to do than in Fergana?
What we also noticed is that the ATMs are still not really distributed and that most only work with Visa and let this be the brand of credit card that Belgian banks no longer use and run down. With maestro you can go to most (large) supermarkets.
Fortunately, we had enough cash (dollars and euros) that could be exchanged quickly in the bank. Going out with credit card and debit card only seems to be a bad idea for the time being.
With best regards,
Kris and Anje Vandamme-Dhondt

Dear Anton,
My wife Val and I have been back home here in California for a few weeks now. I wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful time in Uzbekistan. Ismail is a great driver/guide! I know that he is a driver, but he does the work of a guide too! He was very patient with us and took us to all of the places we wanted to go, always waiting patiently for us. He even showed us places of interest along the way that we did not know about. You were very nice in welcoming us to Tashkent and Ismail helped make our short trip to Uzbekistan a wonderful experience. We hope to return to Uzbekistan for a longer visit some day. Thank you and please thank Ismail for us. We will recommend Roxana Tour, you, and Ismail to anyone who is thinking of visiting Uzbekistan.
Thank you again,
James and Val
Dear Ardjan,
We want to thank you and the people at Roxanna Tours very much for this wonderful trip. Uzbekistan has pleasantly surprised us. Rich culture, variety of landscapes, friendly people, good food ... The organization was excellent and went smoothly. We had a great driver who could handle the holes and bumps in the asphalt perfectly, was always ready and spoke to us in Spanish. The guides in the cities each had their style and great knowledge. Anton solved a sudden emerging problem well. The hotels were well located and offered good quality. We still enjoy this intense travel experience.
Best regards,
The Vanderbeek-Frans family

Dear John,
Once more at home, and enjoying 48 hours of sheer laziness, I am reflecting on my adventure.
I am so pleased that I came.I had bitten off a bit more than I could chew; but it is thanks to you and your staff that I was able to do so much. The patience, courtesy and good humour of all the drivers and primarily Urtik (and Javlon for one day- he had trouble at the airport, and I would still be there if he hadn't been so kind and helpful) were outstanding. And we all know that reflects on their management, so that earns plaudits for you too.
I am still in a bit of a daze with the sights and colours embedded in my memory, shimmering like the colours of the buildings and the everyday dresses.I haven't stopped beaming. Please thank everyone involved in making my trip so memorable.
Best wishes,
Sheila Dawson
