In 2019, Uzbekistan entered the list of ten most attractive countries among the member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and Uzbekistan tours become more and more popular around the world each year.

The Global Muslim Travel Index was developed jointly with the Singapore-based Crescent Rating and Mastercard. The top ten also includes such Muslim countries as Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates and Indonesia.

Uzbekistan hits the top 10 most attractive countries for ziyorat tourism.

Uzbekistan has improved its position due to the cooperation of the State Committee for Tourism Development with the agency Crescent Rating International. During the year, representatives of the agency analyzed the ways of developing ziyorat tourism and Uzbekistan tours in the country, and in February this year they took part in the First International Forum on Ziyorat Tourism and Uzbekistan tours in Bukhara. The attractiveness of Uzbekistan tours also increased due to the liberalization of the visa regime and the abolition of the visa for a number of countries.
