Organized by the Uzbekistan Arts Academy, the Artists Creative Union with the assistance of the Ministries of High and Secondary Special Education, Public, Health, Internal Affairs, National New Agency of Uzbekistan, the National TV and Radio Company, "Uzbektourism" National Company, "Uzbekkino" National Agency within the bounds of the Year of Youth State Program, the event is dedicated mainly to the youth of the Republic. The week was opened with the greeting words of the leading art workers of Uzbekistan who noticed that the national art and culture increase its level day by day, and that it surely plays a significant role in raising prestige of the country in the world arena. As the Chairman Tursunali Kuziyev of the Uzbekistan Arts Academy said the main objective of conducting such week was to attract youth to art and to its understanding. The fine art week is a real holiday not only for creative people such as artists, masters of different national crafts, but for amateurs and public as well. Within the framework of the week numbers of interesting programs are planned to hold, such as young artists' works exhibition, handicraft works exposition, master classes, concerts, foreign artists' exhibition and others. The best exhibition halls, galleries, children and youth creative centers in Tashkent (Uzbekistan Tours) receive as participants, so visitors and guests of the week. Paintings, applied art works, embroidery of that region were displayed in the second floor of the Central Exhibition Hall. "More than fifty students and masters have come to Tashkent (Uzbekistan Tours) with over hundred works to represent our art in the capital", said the Deputy Dean Ravshan Taganov of the Urgench State University, Pedagogical faculty. "Looking through works of other regions artists and applied art masters, I would notice a lot of differentiations not only in colors but in technique and design as well. So I think that participation in such an event is the best opportunity to exchange opinions and experiences", emphasized Ravshan Taganov. At the second day of the week, which was dedicated to the youth, park the Central Exhibition Hall gathered huge number of youngsters where exposition of works by young artists was held. The day of sculpture and graphics was the fourth one and was enriched with demonstrations of sculpture and graphical works of participants. Students of the Republican design College represented their collections for the fashion show conducted in the Exhibition Hall. Besides, displayed embroidery patterns, wood engraving works and others attracted public attention by beauty and finesse. One of the participants of the week Shoira Tadjibayeva said that she was glad to see there a lot of youngsters wished to take part in such a significant event. "Here I sew my work entitled as "Motherland motives", where I depict the bird which brings happiness - Humo. I get acquainted with works of other participants and have an opportunity to communicate with leading art workers of Uzbekistan. I should notice that during my study at the Asatulla Khodjayev Republican Design College in Tashkent (Uzbekistan Tours) I have learnt much from my teachers, because owing to them I perceived secrets of drawing and embroidery", said the third course student of this College Shoira Tadjibayeva. Today is the last day of the Fine art week - 2008 and it is dedicated to painting. It is planned to hold exhibition of painting works and master classes. Organizers of the week believe that this project would have fruitful results and stimulate talented and creative youth to new achievements. Mostly people of art mould a good taste in ordinary people, so better the taste of people so exigent they are. Thus, the level of artists' works supposed to be higher.
