A quarter of employees of hotels in Azerbaijan should have special education
Azerbaijan should seek to develop tourism in every region of the Republic, Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfaz Garayev on Saturday in Baku at the scientific-practical conference Uzbekistan hotels: hotels news, hotels price, hotels review«Tourism and recreation: Problems and Prospects» at the Azerbaijan Institute of Tourism.
«We must strive to develop tourism in every region of the country», - said Garayev.
He noted that in Azerbaijan, tourism and culture are closely interrelated. «In other countries, tourism is not so connected with the culture, as we do. Are preparing for the recognition ashug art and Azerbaijani carpets as a world cultural heritage. We plan to make the carpet museum in an attractive for foreign tourists object », - told the Minister.
He expressed regret that Azerbaijan is not as well developed sports tourism. "We need to make efforts for development and this area of tourism", - said Garayev.

Head of the Ministry of Culture added that the ministry plans by 2010 to limit the number of licenses to new tourist facilities and hotels and pay attention to the license renewal of existing tourist facilities.
