Hi Anton,

Thank you for my birthday email, what a lovely surprise ! I often get asked what my favourite tour has been over the 30 years and I always say your tour and especially Uzbekistan as my favourite country as it was such a fabulous journey with wonderful guides.

Hope you are keeping well and business is doing well.

Kindest regards,

Sally.

Dear Rakhmatjon,

Yesterday I returned home somewhat tired but surely happy.  The only part of the traveling process I did not appreciate was the beginning, that is the slow drive to enter the parking lot and the uncomfortable hustle just the pass through the first control booths in Tashkent.  After that it was the routine checking, checking..... The airlines and security services at all airports are really on high alert so it calls for patience.

I want to thank you again for arranging a beautiful trip for me; and I'll remember you if anyone wants to visit UZB.   I enjoyed our trip and very much your pleasant company.

Please convey my thanks to those in Kyrgyzstan for sending me the pictures.

Best regards,  until.....

Veda

 Dear Mr.Anton Shulakov  ,

 Greetings!

On behalf of all the trekkers, I would like to extend our sincere gratitude to you and your team for hosting the Asia Leadership Trek's inaugural visit to Central Asia. I hope that the workshops led by the Harvard fellows have been a great value-add in helping the younger generation build their leadership aspirations to make the country a better place.

I also wish to extend our appreciation to you for the warm welcome to your homeland Uzbekistan; it was truly a memorable learning experience sharing insights and new perspectives on leadership and practice. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors. We look forward to hearing from you again on any ways we could contribute to, or support your efforts.

 Good morning Dilya,

I am writing to thank you for the amazing tour you have helped us with. Me and my family felt excelent. I also want to thank you for the guide you have chosen for us. Dilya made us comprehend the culture and history of Uzbekistan, with her easy to understand and follow explanations.

Also, the trips to Bukhara, Samarkand and back to Tashkent were comfortable and we felt safe at all times. The hotels were comfortable and had a pinch of history in them. We loved that.

With those four days you have planned for us we fell in love with Bukhara, Samarkand and Uzbek history and civilisation, as a whole.

Thank you Anton, Dilya and Roxana Tour, as a team. We are surely going to recommend you to anyone that wants to visit Uzbekistan.

 Ileana Matei and family.

Dear Anton,

My wife and I got back in London after the 2-week travel on September 3 (Saturday) evening. The journey was absolutely fabulous and we enjoyed every minute of it. We learned a lot of culture and history and had a great time. All the drivers were exceptionally good and careful and invariably appeared on time everyday.

Thank you very much for organizing the 2-week program. Everything went exactly according to plan and everything was meticulously organized. Thank you very much for the extremely efficient way you put the whole thing together.

Incidentally, I had paid USD 40 to the driver who took us to Tashkent.

Both guides were exceptional. The guide in Tajikistan was very knowledgeable, polite and courteous. He talked of Tajikistan's history and culture and kept us entertained and absorbed all the time with humorous stories from the country's past. It was a great pleasure to travel with him. I have got his e-mail address and shall write a special thank-you note to him.

Mr Tore, the guide in Turkmenistan, was a class apart. He was probably the best guide we have ever had. Tore was extremely friendly, sincere, knowledgeable and dedicated to his work. He made the 6 days in Turkmenistan a sheer pleasure. At the end of the journey, he was not only an exceptional guide, but also a very good friend.

I wanted to write an e-mail to him to thank him specially for the warmth of his heart and for every kind of help he provided. Unfortunately, I did not get his e-mail address, so please pass on my e-mail address to Tore, so that he can write to me. Alternatively, if you give me his e-mail id, I will write to him myself.

Thanks again for the truly wonderful experience. In due course, maybe in a year or two, I shall get in touch again for a journey through Kazakhstan.

Best regards to you, and to everyone else who made the trip such a wonderful event, from Sheila and I,

Bobby

I wanted to thank you for the marvelous time we had with the people you assigned to us: Timur, Dalia, Denis and Otabek and of course Nassir Akah who was so gentle and fabulous. Uzbekistan is a real gem.

I certainly will recommend Roxana to my colleagues and friends, except the hotel in Samarkand… Also I would like to thank you for the dinner in Afonsa, which was a nice farewell.

Best wishes,

Dear Rakhmatjon,

We loved Uzbekistan. We found people very warm and welcoming, and even at the airport so many people were trying to help us. The fault with our experience at the airport was with Easy Jet, which did not supply us with the e-ticket numbers, and was not accessible. The airport staff was very accommodating. We truly enjoyed experiencing your country's history and culture, and we will urge our others to do so as well.

 Cheers,

Anne

Hi Ardjan

Roxana Tour is a wonderful company. Our driver, Nossir, was the best ambassador and a super driver.  We really appreciated his companionship.

The guides in all the cities were very knowledgeable and articulate. All of them were fun to be with while they taught us history, politics, architecture, economics and culture.  Roxana has the best guides. We were really pleased.

Anton was very helpful and wise, encouraging us to see and do things that were wonderful.  He was efficient and very hospitable.

Thank you for being the go-between to Roxana. Although there were some miscommunications, we had a memorable trip.

 Thank you,

Devon and Bill

 Dear Anton,

Yes, we are safe back home!

Thank you, it was a very well organised trip and it worked smoothly. The service and supportiveness were really great from everyone involved.

The minor change that I would have put on the itinerary was maybe to go to Tashkent in the evening instead of following morning so that we could have seen a little bit more of Tashkent. As my husband was sick and hence delayed our departure from Samarkand and the John Kerry thing, we arrived very late in Tashkent and missed the opportunity to see the city.

But that is of course not your fault!

I will definitely write a positive review on TripAdvisor.

 Kind Regards

Hi Rakhmatjon,

 I hope you're well!

I just wanted to let you know that I had an amazing trip in Uzbekistan - It was great to meet both you and Otabek - All the guides were fantastic, as were the two drivers - their wealth of knowledge was amazing as were their English language skills.

Dear Nellya,

customers Margreet de Vries & daughter have returned and sent me their evaluation.
They had a great tour for which I wish to thank you!
Especially they mentioned:
- very well organized, drivers and guides always in time
- hotels were good, especially Amulet in Bukhara, with very friendly people
- Termez was safe and very interesting.
They also mention one point to give some attention: tour to Fergana valley was good and interesting, but perhaps too much in too little time. Bit hectic.

Below their complete reaction, in Dutch.

Have a nice weekend,

Dag Ardjan,

hartelijke groet,

Margreet de Vries

Hi Anton,

Just a quick note to say thanks for your help with our trip which ended yesterday. We had a really good time and thoroughly enjoyed our time in Uzbekistan. We’ll recommend your company to any friends who may be thinking of a trip.

Dear Anton
We arrived back in Australia safely. We wish to thank for arranging a most enjoyable tour. We shall never forget the experience.

The tour exceeded our expectations. Our previous time with Roxanan Tours was excellent and we were so pleased that we decided to travel with your company again. We will be recommending your company and your tours to our friends here in Australia,

Once again we would like  to thank you for arranging the upgrade in accommodation in Baku. The Hotel Diplomat in Baku certainly was substandard in many ways. I can give you the details should you request them. We did not expect to be upgraded to the Hyatt Regency Hotel but is was much appreciated. It was a great start to our tour. I would recommend the hotel to anyone travelling from Australia and I am certain that they would not mind paying for the better accommodation.
The rest of the hotels were comfortable and we were happy with them and we were prepared to make allowances for those in the smaller country towns. Some tea and coffee waking facilities and coffee and tea and milk in the rooms would helped a lot.

All of our guides were friendly and knowledgably and we had a good rapport with the drivers.

Thank you once again

Warmest regards

David and Lora

Hi Nellya,

It took some time to write to you about our holiday to your nice country but when we organized the many pictures we took I felt that I should write to you now.
First of all we would like to thank you for the well organized holiday. Everything worked fine and we enjoyed what your country has to offer very much.
All the guides we had were very good, especially I want to mention Ilkhom, Swetlana and Kamoloddin. Our special thank you goes however to your driver Nosir. We spend many days together and had good times and although we had at times problems with communication he always knew what we wanted and made us feel comfortable in the car and during dinner times etc. We do hope that he has fully recovered from his painful swollen arm.
Kind regards,
Dieter & Annemarie Kehrberg

Rakhmatjon:  Cydny and I really enjoyed our recent trip to your beautiful country.  This was the sort of trip where one would expect some glitches along the way but thanks to your amazing efforts on our behalf everything went along like clockwork.  You are really good at what you do because you really care about your clients.  Working with a true professional is very comforting to someone from 12 time zones way and I would be happy to recommend your services to anyone.  Also, when we came back into Uzbekistan there was a framed print of the 3 old men with white mustaches on the wall where we picked up our luggage.  Do you have any idea where I could get one of those prints (unframed)?

Dear Anton!
I am very happy about everything included in my trip organized by Roxana.
Prsently, I am writing up a report. As there is so much I want to include, also photos, I guess it will take me a few days.

I did not have dollar notes in less than 100, so I owe my guides tips.
Driver Nasir suggested that I send to him, c/o Roxana, and he will distribute.
Can I send a letter to you (c/o Driver Nasir?
Is at safe to mail or should I add a security for handling?

To all of you: I am so happy for everything you did. Excellent services.
.
I consider returning next autumn and woukld then like to include some of the historical palces in Turkmenisatan and nordth-west Iran (visit old places).
Is that something you could arrangr?

Best,
Bengt

Dear Otabek,
Hope you are well! I am forwarding you feedback from our clients regarding Uzbekistan tour, so that you can examine all notes and take into account information about hotel in Samarkand. Also I would like to thank you and your colleagues for the brilliant work and hope for our further fruitful cooperation!

"Dear Maria,

Good day !

Here is the debrief on our tour of Uzbekistan. Sorry it is a bit late , but coming back home after 30 days there were a lot of chores to catch up with.

1. The first point is the preparatory work which went into the tour done by you is to be greatly commended. Your planning and details were excellent. Furthermore , you incorporated each and every change or recommendation that I asked for. I had absolutely no problem with the visa for Uzbekistan because of the Invitation letter. Finally,  the tour programme was eventually as practically conducted. Excellent work  !! I must also commend you on your very prompt replies to all my queries.

2. Our tour guide, Dilya, was simply superb. I can't find the words to praise her and describe how efficient, punctual, honest and friendly she was . Eventually, both Tahseen and I considered her to be family. That is the biggest tribute I can give her.
Every request we made was met with a smiling face and accomplished efficiently. Also, she described all visits we made in detail and her knowledge of the history of events and locations is to be commended. I have to mention that all her selections for our lunches and dinners was also superb. I think I can summarize by saying that our tour was a resounding success because of Dilya.

3. Our driver, Ahmed, was also excellent. Very, very polite and humble, Ahmed was always punctual and very friendly and helpful.

Both Dilya and Ahmed made our tour so very pleasant and enjoyable.

I would like you to make a special mention of them to your partners in this tour of ours .Also, the manager of Roxana Tours was at the hotel n Tashkent on our arrival to receive us, and then once again he spoke to me on the phone to find out how we were doing. All this has to be commended.

4. All our visit programmes (which you so meticulously planned ) were excellent and worth visiting. All Hotels at Tashkent, Khiva and Bukhara were good ---and I think the best in the cities. However, the Samarkand Hotel was disappointing. First, it was split in two, our rooms being across the road. To use the Spa or the pool we had to walk across the main road which was not good. Furthermore, the breakfast at this hotel was pathetic----really bad for a 4 star hotel. Also they had no ironing board or iron to give us for use in the room--unlike all hotels where this is a normal feature.

5. Finally, no fault of yours or of Dilya's (or Ahmed, our driver) the roads between Khiva and Bukhara, and then again between Bukhara and Samarkan were horrible. All broken up and very , very bumpy. Thankfully, our vehicle was very comfortable.

All in all, our tour of Uzbekistan was a real delight and a pleasure.

Thank you for all the organisation and planning. Continue the excellent work for our next tour : "Gems of Asia "

With best wishes.
Niaz."

Hello, hello dear friend!!!

What a lovely surprise to get your email & I thank you for your kind words.  I also enjoyed the tour and without you to boost me along when the demands of the group got me down, I know it would have been quite different - definitely not as fun.  I think we make a great team.  I'll miss your company and I really appreciate the friendship we have made over the time we have worked together.

I managed a couple of hours sleep at Seoul airport, again on the plane to Auckland and after a solid sleep (nearly 10 hours) in my own bed I woke this morning feeling fully refreshed.

Warmest regards always
Marieanne

Got a nice letter from Alastair ...he said."… And then there was Otabek.  As you said at the time, he was just the greatest but, of course, it wasn't just him.  The way in which you and he worked to bring it all together in such an apparently effortless and good-humoured way belied all the hard work and thought that went into it and made it the memorable experience it was"
It was great working with you again and as you said next time we can visit some of your favorite night clubs!!

Dear Nellya,

We got back to London last Thursday. The two-week journey through Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan was absolutely fabulous.
You did a truly remarkable job organizing it. Everything went absolutely perfectly, from the moment we landed in Tashkent to our departure from Bishkek. The whole program was simply brilliant.

Thank you very much for making it happen; it was absolutely delightful.

The guides in Uzbekistan were remarkably good. In particular, we want to thank Denis and Dilya who were very knowledgeable and kind, and made us feel at home. More than them, our driver Nasir was exceptionally good, taking care of everything, and doing a truly great job. Tell him of our greatest regards for everything that he did on the days he spent with us. Nasir, Denis and Dilya (and Julia and Annapasha) all made this a journey that we shall remember for a long time to come.

In Kyrgyzstan, we had Olga (the guide) and Ivan (as our driver) for all the five days. These two wonderful people made the journey through Kyrgyzstan a treat that shall be part of our life in years to come. They went to lot more than being a guide and driver, they became truly wonderful friends. We enjoyed their company, their insights on Kyrgyz life, and their enthusiasm for the work. Please convey our best regards to Olga and Ivan.

Finally, thank you very much again for the gifts. We went out to a party at the weekend wearing the hats you gave and it created great mirth. (On Sunday we attended another naturist party in London where friends persuaded us to put on the hats again – so we ended up wearing the hats, with very little else!) The fridge magnets with our pictures are on the fridge and the freezer. Olga and Ivan even organized a champagne party on a hilltop in Kyrgyzstan.

Thanks again for everything, and for making it a delightful experience. I shall send you a photo collage of us.

Best regards,

Bobby and Sheila

Dear Anton

We are home safe and well. We had a really good time in Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kashgar. All guides, drivers, accommodation and food and the were very good and we had plenty of positive experiences. The program worked well and we are your happy customers.

There is one exception to this. The transport company in Kashgar made a strange decision , putting us on a bus to Torgaart, presumably because they had to pick up a group of travelers there. However, the car we had used in Kashgar was also travelling there, but empty. Our guide (Sadik) was very embarrassed by this and we were somewhat baffled. naturally, the bus trip was less comfortable and took longer. We accommodated at the Yambu hotel instead of the International, but am not sure if that made a difference. However, we were very happy with Sadik.

Let me repeat though, that overall we were very happy with your organization and we will definitely recommend you to our friends.

Thanks again for managing our trip for us.
Best wishes

Dear Roxana Tours

I've been back in England for 4 weeks so I apologize for not emailing sooner to say I think Roxana Tours are amazing! What a fantastic tour you organized for the New Zealand operators it was simply breathtaking. The guides you supplied were just astonishing in their knowledge, English, enthusiasm the way they held our interest. Although they all had their very special way of delivering their experience they were all just fantastic. I have to single out one guide who was simply amazing and that was Temur he was simply fabulous. Khiva was made to come alive under his narrative and knowledge he clearly loves the city and this was portrayed to all of us during his day with our group.

The wonderful places you arranged for us to visit Khiva, Bukhara, Samarkand Tashkent to name but 4 must all be revisited. Their colors, architecture, history and charm will remain with me forever. So much so I have every intention of revisiting Uzbekistan again in the near future hopefully spending more time in the Fergana Valley with another visit to Kyrgyzstan plus another Stan

My thanks must also go to Jon without whom the tour would not have been complete. His patience is to be greatly admired as is his expertise in dealing with a group of people or varying ages, health and stamina and demands. We went to the most fabulous places, passed through spectacular countryside and ate excellent food all with him to ease our passage, organize flights, buses, taxis and even camels! The hotels were far better than I imagined they would be as was the wine! Our night in the yurt was a very special experience which was certainly enjoyed by the 4 of us 2 Raewyns,1 Daisy and a Baeuxie

Thank you Jon and Roxana Tours, I will be back in touch

With kind regards

Daisy (kitching)

Hi Humouyon,

How are you? It's been a long, but I was a little busy (just getting married :)
Thanks a lot for the best welcome to Uzbekistan! It was so great, I felt like going to visit country that i already been to. You defenatly have the best guides: they opened doors to the history and the present times of Uzbekistan from the broad and personal view. Thank you for being so flexible with the changes in itinerary and fixing visa so effective!

P.S. By the way we are moving to Kuwait :)

I know my students will talk about this trip for a long time and they enjoyed every aspect of the trip. I think with the success of the trip, we will probably look to come back again in the future. Once I have my summer, 2009 schedule worked out, I will contact you.

Dear Mr. Shulakov,

our week in Uzbekistan is unfortunately already finished. The blue of the sky and mosques and madrassahs, the smile of the people, the kindness of your country is and will be always in our heart.
We have appreciated very much your choyce of the hotels and restaurants and, above all, your prompt answer to every our request and need: we will do one's best to advertise in Italy the name of Roxana Tour. Hello Anton,

I just wanted to let you know both Elaine and I had a wonderful time in Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. AS you know, we arrived on 9-10 not 9-9 in Turkmenistan and the tour guide was there!! Thankfully.

I thought the tours were great and the staff was very professional. I thought you did an excellent job managing our schedule. I would highly recommend your company to others and also I will definitely use your firm again the next time I visit Central Asia, my next trip i wan to visit Kyrgyzstan.
Also, thank you so very much for the traditional caps, that was a very thoughtful gift.

Kind Regards
Kathleen

Hi Anton,

I want to express my satisfaction with the tour you arranged for Kathleen Hurley and I. Both of us really enjoyed visiting these 2 countries -the guides and drivers were very good, very knowledgeable and friendly. They were able to provide us with a sense of the culture and local customs. In addition, the hotels were very nice. I intend to visit Central Asia again and I will certainly use your services. I will recommend Roxana Tours to any of my acquaintances who are interested in traveling to Uzbekistan.

Thanks,
Elaine Duncan

Dear Humoyun and colleagues at Roxana Tour,

Also on behalf of my fellow-traveller Ron Bosman I would like to express my gratitude for the excellent services Roxana provided before and during our journey into Uzbekistan. Your prompt responses during the inquiry phase, the excellent program offer you made to us, and last but not least the competitive rates and smooth financial handling made us feel confident about the trip. In fact, we were secretly expecting a royal treatment, and that is exactly what we got! Of course the many wonders of Uzbekistan - the Kalon ensemble, the Registan, the Bibi Khanoum and all the other beautiful mosques, medresses, minarets and mausoleums - are just there to be discovered and admired. By way of very good local guides Roxana added a context that brought the past to life, and scheduled the sight-seeing in such a way that body and mind also found the rest necessary to digest all this beauty. The small private hotels you had chosen - some of which in beautifully restored old villas - added much to the Central Asia experience and offered high quality services. A special thank you for accompanying us to many shows and dinners, which kept us from getting bored one single minute. And a recommendation for those who want to come to Uzbekistan and trust themselves to the reliable hands of Roxana: do see the classical attractions, but also consider to include the Fergana valley. We were very impressed, not only by the scenery, but also by the visits we made to the silk factory and a ceramic workshop. The latter were absolute high lights of our journey and provided great shopping opportunities!

Dear Sirs,

I was recently on a 3 week tour of Central Asia with Eco-Expeditions, an American tour group. Although all 5 of the "stans" were great, my favorite was definitely Uzbekistan. And one of the major reasons for this was the use of Roxana Tours as the agent in that country. Uzbekistan is so culturally rich, but to appreciate it, one needs great guides who can speak the language of the tour group. Roxana Tours provided this in all of the cities that we visited. The guides were erudite, up on the history, and spoke loudly and clearly.

But most importantly, our tour leader in country, Jon, worked tirelessly to provide a great experience, not only for me, but for everyone in the group. He made everyone feel important and that no request or need was beyond their capability in providing. It was because of this excellence in PROVIDING, that I would highly recommend Roxana Tours to anyone considering a vacation to this fascinating area of the world.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I appreciate Roxana Tour for safe, comfortable and beautiful trip. I visited Bukhara and Samarkand alone. Before I came there, I was really anxious because I could not speak Russian or Uzbek. But Roxana Tour prepared good guides and drivers for me and I did not worry or have any trouble, and I could have good time.

In Bukhara, my guide was expert. She showed me not only beautiful old city, Bukhara, but also the lives in Bukhara. I heard beautiful prayer, enjoyed Hammam, and on free time read next to Uzbek children around Lyab-i-Hauz.

In Samarkand, both of I and my guide are university students and we enjoyed talking about school lives in Japan and Uzbekistan. After the city tour, Roxana Tour arranged a traditional Uzbek concert and I joined wedding dance. It was fun and precious experience to dance in Registan, World Heritage Site.

Thank for Roxana Tour, I could enjoy my trip and get relaxed. I still remember breath-taking beautiful decorations of mosques and madrassahs, comfortable wind and warm smiles in Uzbekistan.

To : Roxana Tour, Uzbekistan
Warmest greetings from Jakarta, Indonesia!

Me and my group visited Uzbekistan and also other 4 more “stans” in Central Asia: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. Among all these countries, I can say that Uzbekistan is the best in term of tourism attractions, infrastructure, hotel accommodation, foods, local guides, coach, etc.

With the help of your professional, responsible and helpful team, Roxana Tour provided my clients with extra attention by spending more of their time choosing the best hotels, the best restaurants, the best local guides,, the best coach; which all these are the main important items for my clients which wants all the most of the luxury Uzbekistan can offer them. Thank you to Roxana Tour that chose only the best for me and my group.

All my clients came back to Indonesia with fond memories of Uzbekistan and Central Asia in general.

I have no hesitation on recommending Roxana Tour to my fellow travel partner or to anybody who is willing to visit this beautiful country and region.

Warmest regards,
